Yep, that’s right, spending my 23rd birthday in my favorite city on earth with some of my favorite people in Germany. Life is good, I must say. If you happen to be in Munich, I’ll be prancing around in my new dirndl that Lauren got me for my birthday.

It’s so spring and I love it!

I usually hate planning birthdays. All I normally ask for is to be surrounded with friends and booze. But when the day involves traveling and people traveling with, you plan. We’ll be doing all of my favorite Munich related things, like:

I’ve done this tour several times and highly recommend it – funny, entertaining, and you learn things!

and could the timing be any better? My birthday marks the opening of Frühlingsfest (lit: Spring Festival), which some refer to as Oktoberfest‘s little sister. We’ll be parked here on Saturday, consuming beer by the Maß, dancing, dressed in tracht, making new friends, eating pretzels, downing Red Bull, ya know, the usual. We reserved a table in the Hippodrom tent to avoid the stress of finding a place for all of us to fit comfortably.
